Meet Our Healthy Lifestyle Team
Our staff is comprised of healthy lifestyle specialists supported by the Fisher Institute of Health and Well-Being. We are faculty and students from the Ball State College of Health and IU School of Medicine-Muncie with expertise in nutrition, exercise, health behaviors, audiology, social work, nursing, speech pathology, and medicine. Allison is a 3rd year Master’s student in the Sport and Exercise Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs. Allison is passionate about integrated well-being and helping others achieve healthier lifestyles.
Shantel Gaillard is a second-year master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Ball State University. She also holds a master’s in Public Health from Tulane University. Shantel is focused on helping under-served populations access the resources needed to live healthy and whole lives.
Victoria is a first-year Master’s student and intern of Ball State’s Nutrition and Dietetics Internship program. She enjoys all things food, nutrition, and health related. Above all, Victoria loves to use her passion for nutrition to inspire and help others with their nutritional needs and goals.
Cory is a 1st year Master’s student in the Social Work program. He was born and raised in Muncie and is dedicated to the community. Cory’s goal is to connect people with the resources that will help them pursue healthier choices and encourage the growth of personal well-being.
Jennifer is a 1st year Master’s student in the Nutrition and Dietetics program. She loves the science behind food and nutrition, and she especially loves a good food pun. Jennifer uses her personal experiences to inspire and motivate others to meet their own health, well-being, and nutrition goals.
Julio is a 1st year Master’s student in the Clinical Exercise Physiology program. He has previous experience as a personal trainer, health educator, and working with cardiac rehabilitation patients. Julio is passionate about using proper exercise, nutrition, and healthy habits as a tool to manage and prevent diseases.
Gabby is a second-year medical student at IU School of Medicine- Muncie. She is highly passionate about using a healthy lifestyle as a tool for illness management/prevention and has been working at the HLC for almost a year. Gabby’s focus areas and expertise include medical education about medications and diagnoses.
Luke is a second-year medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is passionate about community engagement and healthy lifestyle in medicine. Luke’s focus and expertise include medical education regarding diagnoses and medications.
Charlotte Thompson, B.S.
Charlotte is a third-year Doctor of Audiology student at Ball State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in 2016 from Ball State University. She currently sees patients as a student clinician at Ball State’s Speech and Audiology Clinic in addition to patients at the Healthy Lifestyle Center. Charlotte has previous clinical experience in private practice, a VA medical facility, and hospital settings working with pediatric and adult patients.
Natalie Brooks, B.S.
Natalie is a Doctor of Audiology student from Fishers, Indiana. She received a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University in 2017. Along with seeing patients at the Healthy Lifestyle Center, Natalie is a Graduate Assistant for the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Ball State University where she assists with research of auditory processing disorders.
Lauren Wake, B.S.
Lauren is a second-year Doctor of Audiology student at Ball State University. She recently graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
McKenzie Robinson, B.S.
McKenzie is a third-year student in the Audiology program at Ball State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 2017 from the University of Cincinnati. McKenzie enjoys working with patients of all ages and is excited to be a part of the Healthy Lifestyle Center!
